It has been a blessing to serve with Macedonian Teaching Ministries once again. My wife, Edna and I traveled with Raymond and Naomi Burkholder which was a privilege. Raymond has much experience in travel and ministering in Nepal. It was good to see Pastor Man again. I appreciate his dedication to the Gospel in Nepal.
Both Raymond and I had eight sessions of teaching. I spoke on Godly Homes. Raymond taught on practical readiness for the Lord’s Second Coming, from Matthew 24 & 25. I greatly appreciated the attention that was shown by the audience of pastors and others. Their participation in reading Bible references pertaining to the subject was a good interaction and a means of expressing interest. Though the subject of Christian Homes has been taught previously, I sensed the teaching was well received this time as well.
Pastoral Priorities Conference @ Pokhara Nepal Full Pastor Group
A highlight for me was at the close of the Conference. Pastor Man said they have no gift to give us for our teaching which would have been appropriate (in his mind) but they will have a time of prayer for us. So they came to where we were seated and many prayers were offered on our behalf. It was a moving experience for me.
I was reminded of the great darkness that covers this land of beautiful mountains. If we were able to help the Nepali believers to move forward with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our time in Nepal has not been in vain!
